Privacy Policy

1. Data we collect

• Booking data: name, email, phone number, number and type of guests, booking dates and details.
• Payment data: payment is processed by our payment provider(s); we receive transaction confirmation and limited card metadata but do not store full card numbers.
• Account data (if you create an account): login credentials and preferences.
• Technical data: device, browser, IP address, and usage data collected via cookies and similar technologies.
• Communications: messages you send us and our responses.
• Launch list and partner enquiries: the email address you give us to hear about the launch, and, for venues, your name, venue, phone number and message.

2. Why and how we use your data

We process your personal data to:

• create and manage your Bookings and issue your QR voucher;
• process payments and prevent fraud;
• communicate booking confirmations, changes and support;
• operate, secure and improve the Platform;
• comply with our legal and tax obligations in the UAE;
• with your consent, send you marketing communications (which you can withdraw at any time).

Under the PDPL, we process personal data on the basis of your consent and/or where processing is necessary to perform our agreement with you, to comply with a legal obligation, or to protect our legitimate interests in a manner consistent with your rights.

3. Who we share your data with

• Venues: we share the data necessary to honour your Booking (e.g. name, date, guest count).
• Payment providers: Stripe to process payment.
• Infrastructure providers: hosting, database and authentication services (e.g. Supabase, Vercel).
• Authorities: where required by UAE law.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. International data transfers

Some of our service providers may process data outside the UAE. Where we transfer personal data abroad, we take steps required by the PDPL to ensure an adequate level of protection, including appropriate contractual safeguards.

5. Data retention

We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out above, including to meet legal, accounting and tax requirements in the UAE, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

6. Your rights under the PDPL

Subject to the conditions of the PDPL, you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• request correction of inaccurate data;
• request deletion of your data;
• object to or request restriction of certain processing;
• request portability of your data;
• withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior lawful processing);
• lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office.

7. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to notify you and the authorities of any breach where required by law.

8. Children

The Platform is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without the consent of a parent or guardian. Bookings that include minors are made by the responsible adult.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version is always available on the Platform, with the “Last updated” date above.
